Thailand is close to the equator and therefore enjoys a tropical climate year round. Phuket has three seasons, warm, rainy and hot. Average temperatures in Phuket range between 25C and 30C. It never gets cold in Phuket!
The ideal time to visit is during the warm season from November to February when the temperature is cooler and drier; this is also the most popular time for diving and water sports as the conditions and visibility are ideal.
The rainy season is from May to October with the highest level of rainfall generally in September. Do not let this put you off, coming to Phuket in ‘low season’ is more often than not very rewarding, less people, lower prices and generally good weather.
The hottest months of the year are March and April. |
